The music I’ve written so far has been for liturgical use.
During Lent of 2021, my church choir was divided into several small groups, which allowed for appropriate safe spacing. With limited forces, the repertoire we were able to pull off was also limited. I began composing choral gospel acclamation verses to challenge the singers and enhance the offerings we were able to bring to the liturgy. The result a couple years later was a published set of choral verses for all three lectionary cycles and Holy Week. Click here to view the publisher’s website, and hopefully buy many copies!
Since writing the Lenten Gospel Acclamation set, I have composed simple choral verses for nearly every liturgy for which the St. Clare of Assisi Choir sings, and for all three lectionary cycles. They are paired with pre-existing refrains, mainly from the GIA catalogue. I have included a few samples below. Please reach out if you are interested in obtaining copies of these for use in your parish.
